When learning a language, we all go in search of that extra special teacher, that miracle worker who will transform your mouthful of pebbles into a golden oasis surrounde by smooth waters. In adition, if you are learning Russian you will also be hopeful of some brief sighting of that elusive but much discussed concept, the Russian soul! In the real world of course, such alchemy is no where to be found......unless one happens to come across "Smart Russian' school, because it is here where all of the magicians live! My introduction to the school was throught he Pronunciation couse, and I was immediately struck with its thoroughness, and also how you could feel the respect and care for this beautiful language. This lead to my further involvement with the school. I had individual lessons with two different teachers, both of whom were stimulating and rich and extremely patient with me. I thank them hugely. I also enrolled in the daily course "Мой Русский" for some time, and I found this to be challenging and fascinating. A wide variety of material is employed here, both in format an dcontent, giving a very broad exposure to the language. This course can sometiems be surprising, but it always feels authentic. Indeed "authentic" is the key word in the experience with "Smart Russian". The respect, love and nurture of the Russia. language is present in every lesson, and I cannot recommend highly enough the teachers and quality of instruction that is available at this school. Special mention should go to the head of the school, who ultimate must be the one responsible for it's ethos and is that rarity - a genuinely inspirational person, who after each converastion always manages to leave with you an arrray of stimulating ideas. A huge thanks to all.
